April Meeting

Kathy Reasoner, the Assistant Chief of North Park County Ambulance came out to our meeting and gave a talk on the ambulance that will be stationed in our area. They Still need to finish stocking it and finding it a permanent home base. Kathy said this should all be finalized in a months time. This ambulance will act as a portably emergency unit that will always stay in our area. An other ambulance will be dispatched to transpose patients to a hospital. No drugs will we stocked in the ambulance as to deter problems with brake ins.  This ambulance is a 4-wheel drive and has high clearance, so it should be able to make it up all our drive ways in almost any weather conditions. All of us got to take a look inside & I hope it is the only look inside an ambulance most of us will ever need.  But I’m sure glad we have this one here. Thanks Kathy.

We also started to plan our First Day of Summer Party. It will be held on June 21st & will start at noon. We will be holding a kids fishing contest with prizes for the first fish, biggest fish, littlest fish, ect. I’ll post more info as time goes on.

The POA is also in need of a working gas range. If anyone has one would like to donate one please contact one of the officers on the home page.

March meeting

A lot of kids & kids at heart had fun skating & playing a little hockey on the pond. The rest of us enjoyed hanging out around the fire pit & roasting marshmallows.

Just a reminder that we will also have another party in the summer. I hope we’ll meet even more of our Elk Creek/Meadows neighbors then.
