County-Wide Fire Ban Dropped

Fire Ban, July 2012The rainfall we received during the first two weeks of July removed many driveways, however, it also reduced the fire danger in our area!  Sheriff Fred Wegener removed the Park County’s fire ban on July 15th that had been in place since June 12th.  Even though there is no current county-wide Fire Ban at this time, conditions can change quickly!  Use caution and be aware of extreme fire conditions at all times.  I personal would rather continue to replace my driveway than have a fire in my neighborhood!  Let it rain!

There is a new baby in town!

I have heard several neighbors talk about Moose2 07-07-2013this new couple, but have not yet been lucky enough to see them myself!  She seems to be very careful about when and where she is willing to show off her new baby!  Remember, cow moose will aggressively protect their young, so keep dogs on a leash, do not approach them, and watch from a distance!  This picture was taken by Nancy Lutter as she observed the pair from her deck.  Thank you Nancy for sharing your experience!  To see more pictures, go to the Moose page under the Photo Gallery menu option above.  You may click on any photo to view a larger image.
