Trunk-or-Treat is a close to home, fun, safe alternative to Trick-or-Treating for Halloween. Rather than going “door to door” through the neighborhood, children in their costumes go from “trunk to trunk” collecting goodies from volunteers who have decorated the trunks of their cars.
Bring your children to the Association Building, 86 Elk Creek Drive, Bailey, on Thursday, October 31st, between 4 pm and 6 pm. Hot cocoa and cider will be available.
Please plan on attending this SPOOKTACULAR event!
TRUNK VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THIS EVENT!
Volunteers will be asked to open and decorate their trunk or tailgate and provide Halloween goodies for the Trick-or-Treaters. Although candy is the most popular item to hand out, other items such as pencils, erasers, chips, stickers, etc., are also great gifts. Some items you may want to use to decorate your vehicle are pumpkins, spider webs, spiders, brooms, bats, black cats, cauldrons, and other Halloween scary stuff.
Please plan on meeting in the parking lot of the Association Building by 3:30 pm. That will give you about 30 minutes to decorate your trunk before the children begin to arrive.
ORGANIZERS OF THIS EVENT NEED A HEAD COUNT!
In order for this event to be successful, we will need to know how many trunks and how many treaters to expect. Please send an email to me at CUNColorado@aol.com to let us know if you will be providing a trunk and/or how many children you will be bringing. RSVP by Saturday, October 26th. Thank you for your help!!!
