Dock Finally Afloat!

Dock24-First Fish on DockOn Sunday, August 31st, the new dock was finally launched and Charles Banks had the honor of catching the first fish from it!  Many thanks to Paul Ellis for all of the hard work and many hours to research, design, order parts, and build the dock in the basement of the Association Building!  Paul would like to thank all of those wonderful people that helped make this project possible!  Special thanks to Jeff DeBerry, Walter and Dale Wark, Karen Ellis and Charles Banks for their extra help.  Also, thanks to Mike Felix for getting the barrels, consulting on the build, and pushing the dock into the water with his truck!

The dock is afloat, however, not complete.  A gangway now needs to be built and installed to allow easy access from the shore.  Meanwhile, please be careful around the cable and stakes holding the dock in place.

To see more pictures of the dock being re-assembled at the pond and launched on Sunday, go to the Fishing Pond page, under the Photo Gallery menu option above.

September 3, 2014 Association Meeting

NewsThe Elk Creek Highlands/Meadows Property Owners Association will meet at 7 PM, Wednesday, September 3rd in the Association Building at 86 Elk Creek Drive, Bailey.

On the way to the meeting, you may want to go by the pond and see the NEW DOCK!  WOW, IS IT EVER GREAT, I think so anyway!  I talked with Paul Ellis and he said that there some more work to be done before completion.  A walk ramp will be installed to get up on the dock.  Before that is done, please be careful around the dock.

Hope to see you there!
