On Sunday, November 9th, it was 60 degrees, blue sky, and just a little breezy. Charles Banks had mentioned that the pond was beginning to ice around the edges in the mornings and suggested it was time to pull the dock out of the water. Seemed rather silly as it was such a beautiful day, however, Mike Felix came down with his truck and pulled the dock out with help from Jeff DeBerry and Paul Ellis. Within a day the weather certainly changed and we were glad that we had taken Charles’ advice to move it when we did! We have had temperatures below freezing every day this week!
Jana Coughlin said it reached -18 degrees last night and had warmed up to 20 degrees this morning, November 13th, when she took this beautiful picture (left)!
Jana Coughlin also took this picture (right) of almost the exact same spot just 11 days earlier, November 2nd. If you look real close on the bottom right side of the picture you can see something I have never seen before! Can you see it? I have seen a RAIN rainbow, but never a SNOW rainbow! Have you? Thank you Jana for sharing this experience with us!
