Happy Holidays!

Our neighborhood elf has struck again!Seasonal Flowers 12-07-2014  A new season, and new flowers have been “planted” in the barrel, along with a few decorations, really adds a seasonal spirit to our community!  Joyce Deming and Vic Hahn continue to volunteer their time and money to help add a little more beauty to our Association property.  They also restored the ECHPOA entrance sign last June.  I now look forward to watching for the flower change each season!  Many thanks to both Joyce and Vic for taking the time to make it better for the rest of us!

Dedicated and Loyal Service!

Ken Perdew Award 4On November 5th Ken Perdew officially resigned from the ECHPOA board and Secretary / Treasurer position.  On December 3rd an award was presented to Ken and Betty Perdew for their “8 years of service – In Recognition Of Your Dedicated, And Loyal Service to the ECHPOA.”  A very small token of our immense appreciation for all they both have done for our community!  Their participation in all that keeps this Association together and going forward will be greatly missed.

After much discussion, Karen Ellis  and Dale Wark accepted the monumental task of performing their prior duties.  We are elated that Ken and Betty will be still close enough to give us guidance and advise!  Please don’t expect us to perform these duties as well or for as long as they had!  8 years is a very long time to volunteer!

To see more pictures of Ken accepting this award, Betty unfortunately was not able to attend due to illness, go to the Community Maintenance page under the Photo Gallery menu option above.  One of the very few times Ken or Betty missed a meeting in many, many years!  Our well wishes and many thanks go out to them both!

Roof Replaced!

The 40 some year old wood shake shingleRoof Replaced 12-07-2014 roof on the Association Building has finally been replaced!  The old shingles were removed Monday, December 1st, and new shingles installed on Tuesday after the inspection.  Many thanks to Felix Beall for the many months of his research, telephone calls, negotiations, and perseverance!  Felix was able to obtain a check from our insurance company to help offset the huge expense of this project!  This picture will also be displayed on the Community Maintenance page under the Photo Gallery menu option above.
