We have come a long way since the beginning of April when the snowpack level statewide was only 65% of average! At that time I was really hoping for a wet spring, and it looks like mother nature heard me!
Data collected for the National Weather Service website, shows that Bailey received more precipitation this year for the month of April than any other April for the past 6 years! Final numbers are not yet in for May, but we have already received a little over 2 inches this month with another week left and a chance of rain predicted for every day! Not only are we enjoying the benefits of continuous water flow down Church Creek, which is keeping our pond full, but also a much less dangerous fire season!
