Help Save Our Pond

The grant application asking for money to purchase water augmentation and Save Our Pond was submitted on Friday, October 20th, to the Park County Land and Water Trust Fund Board (LWTFB).  Much appreciation for the members of the ECHPOA Grant Committee for the many hours they have spent on this effort!  Copies of the 18 support letters received were included along with the estimated “secured” amount of about $1,300 from donations.  Unfortunately, as of today, we have not quite yet received all those funds.  The good news is that there is still time!  Any new letters of support and or donations received by Monday, October 30th, can be used to “update” our application during the oral presentation scheduled for next week.  PLEASE HELP!  Email, or drop in the locked box at the association building, or mail to ECHPOA at 86 Elk Creek Drive, Bailey, CO  80421.  Thank you to all of you who have already given your support!

November 1, 2017 Association Meeting

The Elk Creek Highlands/Meadows Property Owners Association will meet at 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, in the Association Building located at 86 Elk Creek Drive, Bailey.  We will continue to discuss our options on how to pay for water evaporation replaced back into the stream or loose our pond due to state water law.  Discussion will include grant application status and building rental income.  We will also have a guest speaker, Erica Diana, Advantage Insurance Solutions, who is our insurance broker.  She can answer any insurance concerns such as Loss Assessment Coverage and offer insurance coverage to our members at a discounted rate by partnering with ECHPOA.   For more information, contact Karen Ellis at 303-514-8620, or

Kiddo’s Bus Stop Bench

Many thanks to Sarah Bowman and her family who donated and installed this awesome bench near the intersection of Clark Road and Elk Creek Drive.  Because of all she did to make this happen the students now have a place to sit while waiting for the school bus.  This new Kiddo’s Bus Stop Bench looks really nice!

Shelter Roofs Replaced

3 more horse corral shelter roofs were replaced this summer!  Many thanks to Jeff DeBerry, Paul Ellis, Tim Bradley, and Ron Swift for all their hard work to make sure 2 more horses and their hay will stay dry during the fall rain storms!  Amazing how time flies, it was 2 years ago when the last 3 leaky roofs were replaced.
