Firewise USA Renewal Application Approved

Paul Ellis, ECHPOA President, submitted our Firewise Community application for 2018 and it was approved on November 9th!  Congratulations on being officially recognized for the 2nd year!  Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped reduce the risk of wildfires spreading while building a safer place to live!  Both hours and money spent on mitigating properties, attending presentations, buying and posting reflective address signs all contributed towards our achievement!  A Firewise community not only improves property values and community relationships, it may even reduce insurance premiums.  Please consider becoming a volunteer in 2019!  Learn more by clicking on the Firewise menu option above.

Greenhouse Project

Please support our local children that attend Deer Creek Preschool and Deer Creek Elementary School in reaching their goals of an outdoor classroom!  This exciting outdoor classroom will consist of a 26 ft in diameter geodesic dome that is rated for high wind and snow loads of which will be phase 1 of the project.  Phase 2 will consist of 6 raised beds with fencing around them to keep wildlife out.  We’re currently at $16,150 and need to be at $22,450!  Please send checks to Deer Creek located at 1737 County Rd 43, Bailey, CO  80421.  Attn:  Greenhouse Committee.  Checks can be made payable to DCES and in the memo section put Greenhouse Project.

Thank you!
