Elk Creek Highlands/Meadows Property Owners Association (ECHPOA) is a nonprofit organization and owns approximately 20 acres of land. This includes the Association Building, fishing pond, horse corral, horse pasture, streams, and wetlands. These areas are available for ECHPOA Members and Their Guests Use Only. Unlike many associations, membership in the ECHPOA is entirely voluntary, however you must be a member to use the property. Any property owner in the Elk Creek Highlands or Elk Creek Meadows subdivisions may become a member of ECHPOA by paying the yearly dues, for each calendar year. Renters of property in the subdivisions may also become associate members, however, they do not have voting rights. Children 12 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult member.
Currently, the dues are only $40.00 for an annual family membership. Annual fishing permits may be purchased for an additional $25.00 which includes 4 fishing badges per family. These fees are used to pay for taxes, insurance, utilities, repairs and improvements for all of the ECHPOA owned property, for stocking the fish pond, community events, and annual newsletter. Annual membership and fishing permits expire December 31st of the same year purchased. Annual membership is non-transferable and fishing permits can be used by guests of the ECHPOA member. To join, fill out the membership form on an ECHPOA Brochure and help keep this open space and wetlands in our community!
Annual Firewise community work days are scheduled in the spring, and community social events in the summer. Watch for details to be posted on the home page of this blog and the bulletin boards near the mail boxes and Association Building.
Monthly Association meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the ECHPOA building address listed below. You do not need to be a member to attend monthly Association meetings!
