ECHPOA MEETING MINUTES FOR January 6, 2016
The meeting was called to order by Board Member Felix Beall at 7:07 p.m.
Previous months minutes were on tables for members to look over. Motion to accept the December minutes was made by Paul Ellis and seconded by Tim Bradley. The motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report was given by Karen Ellis. Motion to accept the report was made by Tim and seconded by Walt Wark. The motion carried.

Activities Report was given by Dale Wark. The annual Newsletter was mailed the end of December informing residents of the three activities scheduled for 2016. The activities are slightly different from previous years and are concentrated around the warmer weather months. Motion to accept the report was made by Paul and seconded by Mike Felix. The motion carried.
Blog Report was given by Karen. There were 297 hits, 3 articles, 3 pictures, and 1 new page. The lost dog posted in the blog and on mailboxes has been found. Motion to accept the report was made by Paul and seconded by Mike. The motion carried.
Building Report was given by Karen. Estimates for rain gutters were received from two contractors. Triple A Custom Seamless Gutters for $1,050.00 and Conifer Gutter Service for $950.00. Felix suggested we look into prices at Home Depot and do it ourselves. We should locate the septic system and check if working properly. The leaning bulletin board will be repaired in the spring.
Corral Report was given by Brad Burk. Brad has turned the solar water tank to face south to be more effective. The horses are eating foam around the tank opening, it is safe. Mike suggested attaching a tarp around the opening that drapes down to prevent that. Motion to accept the report was made by Paul and seconded by Mike. The motion carried.
Pond Report was discussed. Al Cook, who has agreed to be pond manager, was unable to attend the meeting. Several people have been ice fishing. However, the pond is not plowed for ice skating. There is still a slow flow coming into the pond. Tim suggested that maybe a small crew could shovel skating area. Next year we need to designate ice fishing area and ice skating area. Motion to accept the report was made by Tim and seconded by Rhonda Marr. The motion carried.
Old Business was discussed. The 2016 Newsletter received many compliments from members. There were 368 sent out and 17 returned so far.
New Business was discussed. Ballots for the election of board members are due by the February meeting. They will be counted and new officers selected.
