ECHPOA MEETING MINUTES: September 4, 2013
Meeting was called to order by President Danny Colligan at 7:15 PM.
Secretary’s report was read by Betty Perdew for Ken of the August 7, 2013 meeting. Motion by Jeff, 2nd by Brad that reading be approved. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report was given by Ken Perdew, showing a checkbook balance of $8,116.28. Savings balance of $663.85. Fish fund balance of $1,349.11, leaving $7,430.97 balance in the General Fund. After a motion by Cristina and a 2nd by Karen to approve the report, motion carried.
No pond report given.
Corral Report: Brad reported that Allen has been grading the property to control erosion. Harris Park pond dredge will be spread to help grow better grass. If you need some dirt or rock there is extra available. The seeding done previously has started to grow. Horses are being kept away from this area. Karen moved with a second from Cristina that Jeff be reimbursed $200.00 for grading costs to this point. Motion carried.
Blog report from Karen. Five new articles have been posted. 445 hits to site this month. Cristina moved and Paul seconded that the report be accepted. Motion carried.
Activities report. No new report. Please review schedule from Newsletter and August 2013 Minutes.
Deputy report from Jeff. Private Investigators are working in our area. If you see any strange vehicles please notify Sheriff’s office. Voting for paid School Resource Officers may be on the November ballot for funds to pay for duty time. PCHS now has paid officers. Other schools now have volunteer officers.
Old business: Picnic shelter plans are almost complete. Some barrels have been purchased for a new dock.
Fishing Regulations. After a special Board of Directors’ Meeting, the Board recommended that the fourth item of Fishing Regulations be removed and be replaced with the following:
MEMBERS VISITORS MUST VISIBLY DISPLAY ECHPOA FISHING PERMIT AND FOLLOW ALL FISHING REGULATIONS. MEMBER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY AND ALL ACTIONS OF THEIR VISITORS WHETHER PRESENT WITH THEM OR NOT. ANY VIOLATION OF REGULATIONS MAY RESULT IN THE CONFISCATION OF THE MEMBER’S FISHING PERMITS.
It was moved and seconded that this change be made. Motion approved with a unanimous vote.
Jeff will remove signs from the corners.
New business: Some dead aspen trees need to removed from near the building and near the corral. Ivan Erwin will remove. One dead bush at the east end of the pond also need to be removed.
Paul will make a list of noxious weeds that need to removed.
